Easy Recovery Essentials Reviews

By Ed Bradwell on April 1, 2014

Thanks for an excellent and well thought out Repair tool !

Downloaded the files without any problem and the additional "links" and info in the confirmation email is also vey useful and an ideal source of further information !

Just a point that may come in habdy for anyone with a newer Asus laptop or desktop that may well have the new "UEFI /GPT " system instead of the older and more familiar BIOS on board !

After burning the EasyRE image to disk and setting my "Boot order " to select the Optical drive as the 1st. Boot option ....I found on restart of my new Asus laptop that the system still booted into Windows 8.1 and still bypassed the "loaded EasyRE disk " !

I immediately assumed that the UEFI process was probably not allowing sufficient time for the correct boot order process to initiate and I found that by going into "SetUp " mode via the F2 key on an Asus..... and then disabling "Secure Boot " and enabling the" CSM " mode and then Save and Exit via F10 ......the afore mentioned process then allowed the EasyRE to boot and offer the full list of options ! Thanks for a great tool and a secure and safe purcasing experience !

Trying to clone his 5400rpm disk drive to an virgin SSD thru a SATA dock, I thought I was doing the opposite ! I stopped the process at the very beginning and started to sweat "green" (and pray hard...).

The disk was showed as empty in Win. Disk Management ! Wow !!!!! Restarted everything... Okay the disk was back. I tried it in his computer to insure everything is ok. It wasn't. Windows won't boot anymore ! Status : 0xc000000e !

Googling this error and finally found your site ! Just followed the tutorial, and BOOOM...

PS : I did not work on the classic drive. I decided not to risk anything more on that drive. I cloned it to the SSD and worked on the SSD.

$20 ! Go fro it !

This was a fast, easy and affordable solution to my immediate problem. I really appreciate the fact that this is available for quick and easy use online, no more waiting by the mailbox for a full recovery disc. Thanks again! Nikki

Easy fix for the common Windows Vista Update "stuck loop"
By Ray on April 18, 2014

I tried everything with my computer to get it started after a Windows Update. I was stuck on the typical stage 3 of 3 error that many have come across. Its April of 2014 and I just had this problem now !

I guess Microsoft didn't fix or attempt to fix this old issue?! I tried system restore, safemode, command prompt, and everything else I could think of. My computer didn't come with restore discs and System Restore didn't work either. I browsed the internet for a solution and found many people having success with a boot disc so I figured I was SOL since I didn't have one !

Then I found some info about buying a recovery/ boot disc from neosmart.net . I purchased the EasyRE and performed the automated repair option when the disc booted up and needless to say I'm writing this review from the computer I was hopelessly locked out of ! Is it worth $20.00 ?

All I can say is that it was worth every penny to get back into my computer without ripping the drive out and trying a manual repair with another computer, which I don't have readily available. Best Money ever spent ? Right now I'm saying yes !

My Windows 8 laptop was stuck on 'please wait' forever. I could not get into the diagnostic tools. and I did not have a recovery CD/USB. This software took just a few seconds to have me up and running. Amazing product!

Win-Vista, MBR damaged, bought EasyRE. Doesn't work.
By Karl H on October 6, 2016

Bought it, downloaded, installed to USB drive using Rufus. Error re: Grub, tried both options provided, writes files to USB drive but the drive will not boot, gives Grub error. Since no helpful error messages are produced (it crashes immediately on booting), I don't know what to do next. Waste of money & time. I can still boot Vista using HiremCD chainloader4grub so my data is fine, just the MBR appears to be hosed. EasyRE does not appear to be very useful.

Great Product
By Tom Helinski on July 2, 2017

I recently attempted to clone my drive to a larger size. The cloning apparently went well but when I went to check out and swap - I got the boot sector error. I had a rescue disk prepared at the start with my cloning software but it did not/was not able to repair the boot sector issues. I searched the web as well as looking at Utube videos and this is where I found the one on EasyRE.

I downloaded the Win 10 version and followed the procedure described - and within 10 min. my boot sector issue was corrected. This was after sweating it out over the past 48 hours about how to resolve the problem.

I highly recommend this product, it is money well spent. In addition, I've learned my lesson about periodically creating a rescue disk for my operating system as well. I originally had Win 7 and upgraded to Win 10 through download so I did not have an installation disk that would work.

Thanks again, EasyRE for a great, straightforward product that delivered what it promised.
