It got me to a point where I could things. It saved me hours. I wish I had bought it sooner.
booted up OK but didn't recognize usb keyboard or mouse. So it just sat there like a stale bottle of beer. Windows 7 64 bit on ssd
I came across this through a search for a BIOS error code “0xc000000e” search (Computer wouldn't boot). I almost walked away as not comfortable buying online from unknown. However, I am very familiar with computers and mine wasn't going to get past open screen if I didn't do something. I bought the software, burned it to disk, had to go repair a lamp for neighbor came back an put the program through and Computer up and running nicely. It's the best 20 dollars I ever spent. Will get a lot of use on other computers I work on too! Thanks to develops of this great tool!!!
My Windows XP system would not boot. Hal.DLL missing and NTLDR missing errors. Couldn't even boot in safe mode and recovery disks from manufacturer as well as Ebay didn't work either.
Thank you. Recovery Essentials fixed my computer in a few clicks of the mouse. Awesome!
EasyRE successfully recovered my Asus X200M Windows 10 laptop after I broke the UEFI boot-loader while installing Fedora to a separate partition. EasyRE fixed in twenty minutes what I could not after a day and a half of running MS repair utilities, rummaging through tech support blogs and poking around in a terminal.
From what I understand my recovered PC has been converted to a MBR volume from here on, but that is a preferable change for my needs as I now have a robust laptop for working with a variety of distros instead of the vulnerable device that I had when I began.
Why don't you guys make this free for all users until Windows 10 gets a service pack and is stable. its stupid to charge ppl that upgraded and have thier laptops and pc's break and unbootable because of it. Why should I have to pay to fix something before I even get a chance to use it...
It is an oldie, but it is still a lot of computer. It doesn't run anything but W7-64 (not counting Linux). The factory restore partition got blown away, and the CDs I burnt when it was new are long lost. W7 started with severe start up problems, .. and I tried everything I knew and could not solve the problem and could not install the OS anew. Just about to load Linux on it, and did one last Google for a solution and found this Held my breath, burnt a Professional version CD.
Booted it and it ran beautifully ... the very first time ... and fixed some boot up problems I could not fix. Restored a backup image and this machine is back to life. Great product and thank you for your work on it. I breathe relief.
My server with a Raid controller crashed and was giving page fault errors. After figuring out that my raid controller died, i tried a similar one i had in my office. Hooked up the raid 1 drives(mirror) booted the server 2012 version of easy repair.
It could now see my partitions. tried system restore and luckily there was a restore point from the day before. Ran the restore. Rebooted my server and HOLY AWESOME is came back!
I give this program 10/10. Good job whoever made this. Saved me a PILE of time. This is a real review. I am not a paid reviewer. If your machine wont start i recommend giving this software a try! Thanks again!
I just downloaded the file for windows 8 and nothing has worked. the file that downloaded hasnt go any file in it that can do anything there are just txt file to open. :( waste of $20
well worth the price, even though a super computer geek might have figured out what was wrong and solved it through partition magic or the built in partitioning software in Windows 7, but I had no clue. I was playing with my partition sizes and suddenly my boot drive wouldn't load windows and I couldn't even get to the recovery section. I didn't have a DVD rom in the machine, so even if I had my Windows recovery disks, I couldn't do much. So I downloaded this on another machine, burned the ISO (it is totally automated and easy) and then put my hard drive in the other laptop, and booted from that machine's dvd drive. Presto, it fixed the partition and I saw something there about me making it not active, and then something about fixing my MBR, but the key point is that the entire process took maybe 10 minutes (I skipped the memory test) and when I popped the drive back into the original machine, I was up and running. Great expenditure of $20 - highly recommended!
