I've been having trouble with my laptop ever since the most recent Windows update. Today it suddenly froze up completely and I couldn't get it to reboot properly. Everything I tried ended with a black screen and no further progress. Several hours of frustration and I was ready to toss the computer in the trash....or against the nearest wall.

Fortunately my husband found this program and we figured we had nothing to lose. It WORKED!! Easy and quick....can't believe it was so easy. I'm a happy camper. :)

What a great tool! I must admit I was skeptical, but after trying everything else under the sun I downloaded the Vista Recovery ISO in a moment of desperation. I burned it to disk and popped it in the non-working machine. Within minutes the boot sector was re-written and the notebook came back from the dead. Thank you so much!!

I will be happy to change my review, but right now I cannot use this at all. When this boots it does not recognize the mouse or keyboard on my computer and is therefore completely useless. Hopefully the tech support paople will get my email and provide a fix.

Thanks! For a mere 19 dollars I've managed to fix my wife's Vista laptop. It had stuck in the “endless loop” boot sequence and EasyRE managed to find a restore point. And now the machine is working again. Thanks for making such a useful product! PS: Even if the Windows machine would not have been restored, the EasyRE Linux menu allowed me to mount a USB stick and copy essential files from the broken C: Windows disk to the USB device. Highly recommended!

I recently purchased a refurbished Alienware M11x laptop for my son's birthday. It was working fine and one day it just did not want to boot to Windows 7 and the warranty period had just expired one week prior to this happening. I spent countless hours over a one week period trying to solve the issue. I tried many websites, downloads, etc to no avail. My biggest obstacle was trying to boot the system using a usb stick because this model laptop does not include a cd/dvd drive.

I came across your website and was very hesitant to spend money on something that may not work. But I was at my wits end and decided to take a chance. All I have to say is WOW! WOW! WOW! The step by step instructions were very helpful since I'm not an expert at computers.

I LOVED that there were instructions on how to load your software and how to activate it using a usb stick. My son's laptop is now working with no lost data and I am one happy Mom knowing I was able to save his laptop since this was a very expensive purchase. I was hesistant like others, but I have to say after exhausting all methods known to me to correct unmountable_boot_disk I was able to fix it with this program in a matter of a few seconds. I was so ready to go out and buy a new hard drive along with operating system. Thank god I decided to plop this $20 down is saved me hundreds!

I tried everything with my computer to get it started after a Windows Update. I was stuck on the typical stage 3 of 3 error that many have come across. Its April of 2014 and I just had this problem now !

I guess Microsoft didn't fix or attempt to fix this old issue?! I tried system restore, safemode, command prompt, and everything else I could think of. My computer didn't come with restore discs and System Restore didn't work either. I browsed the internet for a solution and found many people having success with a boot disc so I figured I was SOL since I didn't have one !

Then I found some info about buying a recovery/ boot disc from neosmart.net . I purchased the EasyRE and performed the automated repair option when the disc booted up and needless to say I'm writing this review from the computer I was hopelessly locked out of ! Is it worth $20.00 ?

All I can say is that it was worth every penny to get back into my computer without ripping the drive out and trying a manual repair with another computer, which I don't have readily available. Best Money ever spent ? Right now I'm saying yes !

Note: I had to go into the BIOS and change things to boot from CD-ROM. It wasn't a smooth run. It took hours of trial and error. But nevertheless, it couldn't have happened without your software and your suggestions.

Setup: Windows 7 UEFI boot 3 TB disk with GPT

My privat computer was stuck in a UEFI boot loop; The Intel Start screen would show, then a black screen, and the the Intel Start screen again.

Suspected the disk boot sector had a fault.

Windows 7 Install DVD refused to repair anything.

Working as a technician, I prepared my self for a complete re-instalment for the system.

Read of someone who had a similar problem and used this program to fix it. I honestly didn't think it would work, but decided to “buy the lottery-ticket” on the off-chance, that it would save me from reloading the operating system, installing all programs from scratch and load the data backup.

But guess what? - I won the lottery!?! Using this program to create a boot disk, that boot disk repaired my boot problem in two minutes!

For me, it sure was worth the 20 dollars.

Just a quick thank you for saving me a huge headache! We just migrated a Windows 2003 server over for a dental practice. The server had several partitions and we used VMWare Converter to create the VM. Everything went well and then we moved it to the Mac server and opened it in VM. It quickly booted to the “NTLDR is missing” error.

Being that this is a server from 2003 we couldn't locate the disks and I new it was just an issue with the VM not being able to find the correct boot partition. I came across your software and was able to download it within minutes and was able to change the boot flag that was on the data partition to the correct boot drive partition.

A huge sigh of relief and now this company will be able to be up and running by Monday am.

Recently, I tried to resize partitions on my hard drive, and the result was a blue screen telling me that I had an unmountable boot volume. I had an OS on boot DVD, so I was able to search the Internet for possible solutions to my problem, but to no avail. I then came across your website and EasyRE product.
