There is a collection pot for prize money going to whoever first successfully dual boots XP on a Macintel. But what we need are donations to get the research done, then we can talk about rewards. There's incentive and then there is means.. And right now we need the second.
After doing the research and asking around, it seems that a BIOS-mod seems to be in order. This entails expenses. Many expenses.. A MacIntel, a Intel 945 mobo, and maybe even more if worse comes to worst. So help the cause & donate to free Apples from software restrictions!
I discovered AlertPay a while back... It's like PayPal, except they charge less, store your money in a real bank, and don't steal! The fact that your money is in a real bank means that it's immediately subject to all insurance and regulations that a normal bank is.. which means they can't cheat you out of your money like some others *cough* PayPal *cough*
If you really would rather use PayPal, I'm not going to say no :)
No need to donate because I already I tried swapping the BIOS chip in my intel 945 board with the EFI chip in my iMac. It didn't work.
