Stupid thing wouldn't properly install GRUB to the MBR, I think it's because Vista has it totally fsck'd up with non-standard shit. I was about to try installing LILO from a Live CD (I was desperate, honest!) when I came across this post in my net trawls :) Saved me from having to use LILO, I owe you one!
