The free <a href="http://www.vmware.com/download/server/">VMware Server</a> runs Ubuntu just fine on my machine, as does the (most excellent, but unfortunately not free) <a href="http://www.vmware.com/products/ws/">VMware Workstation</a>. </p> LOL!
