Left University of London for 20 years in technical support for IBM on large mainframe computers, responsible for OS maintenance through MFT MVT and MVS OSs, specializing in performance tuning of software and hardware. Programming in 360/370 assembler and problem-solving and debugging malfunctioning code for PL1 application development programmers.
Retired aged 41 to a rural idyll free of computing for 12 years, till inheriting a redundant PC and ending up here.
