- Born in World War 2 in the city of Amsterdam. Spent my childhood in Amsterdam. Acquired a master degree in chemical engineering at Delft Technical University and worked for a multinational company in various functions and locations in chemical process development. Maried with two grown-up children. Early retirement in 2004.
