Moving system boot files to a different partition

I have a hard drive with 2 partitions, Windows 10 (C:)and Windows 7(D:). Win10 Disk Management shows that Win 10 contains (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary Partition) - Win 7 contains (System, Active, Primary Partition) I assume that when I boot up, Win 7 is in control. I now want to delete...

    Triple boot Win7 Win8 Ubuntu 13.04 problem

Terry, What I need are the correct Easybcd steps to go straight to the easybcd menu, bypassing the grub menu so that I just see my three systems listed. I was able to do this with 12.10 but cant seem to get it right with 13.04. ie, if I selevt Type as GRUB 2, then Drive says "Automatically...

    Triple boot Win7 Win8 Ubuntu 13.04 problem

I have triple booted Win 8 Win 7 and Ubuntu 13.04. When I start the computer, a Ubuntu screen comes up with Ubuntu login at the top, and Win8 boot further down. If I then click on Win8, that takes me to the menu I had before installing Ubuntu, which then gives me the choice between Win 8 or 7...

    Blank screen booting XP

Yes I deleted the XP entry each time and then added a new one and did the autoconfugure. When I reboot and select XP, it comes up with the text in boot.ini and I choose "Microsoft Windows XP Pro". it then gives a black screen and hangs until I press the reset key or switch off and restart. But...

    Blank screen booting XP

Yes, I did that. Sorry I didn't make that clear - see text from previous post. "I booted from the Win7 install DVD and this time I did see the "repair..." and selected the "startup repair" which duly ran. However, I'm sorry to say my problem remains. "

    Blank screen booting XP

Hi Terry I booted from the Win7 install DVD and this time I did see the "repair..." and selected the "startup repair" which duly ran. However, I'm sorry to say my problem remains. The interesting thing is that after rebooting (hardware button) into Win7 it asks to do a "startup repair". If I...

    Blank screen booting XP

When I boot from the install cd, it gives me 2 choices - Upgrade or new install. If I select new install (which is what I've been doing each time to a blank partition) it only offers to put the existing win7 into a folder called win7 old (something like that), no offer to repair. I will try to...

    Blank screen booting XP

Thank you for being so patient ! Just to clarify: Each time I have tried to sort out this problem, I have first deleted the Win7 partition (via Vista) and then did a clean install of Win 7 on the 39 Gb partition. So the clean install sets up its own "C" drive, so "repair" shouldn't be necessary...

    Blank screen booting XP

The C drive shown in DM is the 39.04 partition in which I have put Win7. The system boot drive - which does have a folder called boot btw - I gave the letter L as suggested in some of your posts, before I ran easybcd 79. I checked via a CMD box that L ie "Boot" contains the ntldr and boot.ini...
