Ireboot 2 does not work on windows 10

rcpax and gerryh - Mahmoud's suggestion worked for me. In Win 10, I put a task in task scheduler and it works BUT ONLY after I set it both to "Run with highest privileges" and to "Delay task for: 1 minute". (Haven't tried 30 seconds.) gerryh - I recommend my neighborhood barber shop - Lee's on...

Ireboot 2 does not work on windows 10

Mahmoud - thanks. I had previously tried "Run as Administrator" in the Properties for iReboot.exe and the shortcut .lnk, and those flags are still checked. 1) Should I uncheck them? 2) If I also find them checked in iRebootd.exe, should I uncheck them because your code already elevates? 3) Is...

Ireboot 2 does not work on windows 10

Mahmoud - Following your suggestions, the only thing that works is to add a task in task scheduler BUT ONLY after I set it both to "Run with highest privileges" and to "Delay task for: 1 minute". (I haven't tried 30 seconds.) It starts at startup, not login. By the way, the end result is that...

Ireboot 2 does not work on windows 10

Mahmoud - thanks for ideas - shall try this weekend. Do I need to worry about the sequence of irebootD.exe running first before I start iReboot.exe?

iReboot won't start on boot Windows 10

Mahmoud - sorry to duplicate, but last night I re-installed from your current link, and, yes, iReboot is in the Startup tab as enabled (as before). However, the tray icon does not appear on reboot. iRebootd.exe and the iReboot service are running, but not iReboot.exe and not the icon. If I...

Ireboot 2 does not work on windows 10

Terry60 - Sorry. Just did from Peter's link and does not work. Is same version as my prior anyway. Mahmoud - iReboot is listed and Enabled in Startup, as it's always been. iRebootd is running but not iReboot and not the icon in the tray.

iReboot won't start on boot Windows 10

How does one write to support? Also, in my Win 10 Pro 64-bit version 1709, I put a shortcut on the desktop to ireboot.exe. When I hit it, the icon appears in the tray and I can go from there. I'm not a tech, but that feels like a very small glitch that should be fixable.

Ireboot 2 does not work on windows 10

Ex_Brit - Thanks for suggestion. However, I did just that before posting above. Unfortunately, the UN- and RE-install did NOT fix the problem. What is it about Win 10 that does not like iReboot? PS - If you're "Ex_Brit", are you also "Neo_Irish"?

iReboot won't start on boot Windows 10

Just upgraded my Win 10 to version 1709, and the iReboot icon just will NOT appear in the tray after restart. In the Win 10, I've turned on "Run as Administrator" in iReboot.exe and iRebootd.exe and in all the startup links for iReboot I can find. I can start iReboot manually and then get the...

iReboot no longer skips Wait for OS Selection

Ex_Brit - well, no. At least I couldn't find an option in EasyBCD for this. I ended up doing something basic in Windows. Had missed it for most of the day because I had earlier tried to do the same thing in msconfig but was stymied there. Did not remember to look in Advanced system settings...

iReboot no longer skips Wait for OS Selection

Found the answer. Control Panel - System - Advanced system settings - Advanced - Startup & Recovery - Settings - UNcheck "Time to display list of operating systems". Done. A reboot using iReboot to stay in Win 7 now skips the select OS window and goes straight into Win 7. So far ...

iReboot no longer skips Wait for OS Selection

Have dual-boot PC with Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit and Win 10 Pro 64-bit. Dell Optiplex Desktop with 16GB RAM. iReboot was working great, but, after some recent system hiccups, it is no longer skipping the MS white-on-black OS selection window (Wait for OS Selection) when I reboot into Win 7, which...
