Xp mode
Hello all I am using windows 7 Pro 32 bit and have been trying to install the Xp mode which my motherboard is supposed to support.If I cold boot into bios virtualization mode is enabled but when I try and install xp mode the setup says it is not enabled and going back into bios the setting is disabled again. any advice will be greatly appreciated gill

Hi Gill, welcome to NST. Did you "exit with save changes" (or similar wording - F10 in my BIOS) ?

Hello terry Thanks for the reply Yes I did exit and save the settings the funny thing is that everytime I go into bios from cold it says it is enabled but if I just restart the computer and go into bios it says disabled it is very strange. gill

Does your CPU have virtualization features as well as the mobo ? Have you run this ?

Check for a BIOS update. I would also check the CMOS battery as well.

Hello Terry and Makaveli213 I have run the tool and my hardware does support virtualization I also have the latest bios and my cmos battery is good so it is a bit of a puzzle. Many thanks gill
