Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade Disk
Can I use this disk to repair Vista Home Premium? Or do I need to download the Vista_Recovery_Disk.iso? Also, does repairing Vista erase any of my files? Last edited by SciFiFreak; February 19th, 2009 at 07:23 PM. Reason: Added another question.

Hi scififreak. Welcome to NST. No, the Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade disk is only for upgrading Vista, not for repairing it. You will need to download and burn to a CD with ImgBurn our recovery disk found here > Windows Vista Recovery Disc Download The NeoSmart Files Repairing Vista will not delete any files. Rather, it will create its own needed boot files if it detects they do not exist. GL and let us know if you have any problems. -Coolname007

Yeah, repair only works on the system files. It won't do anything to your personal ones.

I still cannot create a bootable CD from Windows Vista Recovery Disc,using ImgBurn...this just keeps going in circles, sigh...

Make sure your CD/DVD drive is first in the boot sequence in your BIOS, and verify that you are pressing the key when you get the message "Press any key to boot off the CD".  Cheers, -Coolname007
