    Default install linux from ISO

    Hello all,

I am trying to install linux from an iso file located on my NAS drive.

I tried using the ISO boot from the external devices option but when I selected the entry, I did not know what to enter into the screen after GRUB.

I want to install linux and the bootloader on a partition located on a separate drive than my win7 install.

It's not recommended to install an OS by booting from the ISO with EasyBCD.

Also, certain Linux CDs have problems booting from EasyBCD for some odd reason, though others seem to work fine.

You can easily extract the ISO to a USB drive with unetbootin.
