Need help with VPN

I am trying to setup a simple VPN connection. I can't access it from outside my wireless network. I have a Linksys WRT54G router. I have enabled the VPN passthroughs, but it won't work outside the network. I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7 Home Premium.

EDIT: I got connection working from outside, but no network shares. Any ideas?

Is the local computer setup with any network shares? You may need to forward the appropriate ports in your router and check your firewall on the box you want to share content with.
