Vista System Restore question
I downloaded and ran the Easy BCD Lite Recovery Essentials.
After running the automatic repair it now reports that there is no operating system. I have run it numerous times and still get the same result. Will running the System Restore option delete all my data? I suspect a partition failure.

Microsoft System Restore back to an earlier checkpoint does not affect user data, but if you're suspecting that you might have a seriously borked OS, which might ultimately need a factory reset, then it would be prudent to ensure the safety of all your personal data first.
