/BCD missing UEFI

#1
My sons laptop is erroring with missing BCD

I downloaded the repair ISO image, but it won't boot as the PC is set to UEFI and won't allow me to change

I think I need an ISO image for UEFI boot. Is there one available or is there another solution?

Hi Tony,

I believe all consumer PCs support at least enabling CSM/legacy boot, if not disabling UEFI entirely. What do you see in your bios settings?

Are you booting it from a CD or USB? What did you use to turn the ISO into the CD/USB?

Booting from USB

Used Rufus to burn burn to USB but have tried with a few different pieces of software and get same error.

I had to change the boot settings from UEFI to CSM

You can't use Rufus, it doesn't support the bootloader on EasyRE.
You should use the free Easy USB Creator: http://j.mp/EREUSB2

I have the same issue again. However my copy of EasyRE is saying the version on Windows 8.1 is too new

Do I have to pay for EasyRE again or can I get an update?
