You have to set the Vista partition as active in order for your PC to boot without "forcing it" with GParted.
Morning

My apologies, know this sounds stupid but could not figure out how to start a new thread!!!!

Good Morning
Truly hope someone can assist. I have an old Vista business operating system running on an HP Compag6510B laptop. No installation disks or restore point available, I had the infamous situation with my update stage 3 of 3 showing 0% and the laptop going into a loop of restarting and shutting down.....

I downloaded the easy RE Professional for Windows Vista.iso recovery disc image and burnt it onto cd and saved on USB

Started up the laptop and F9 attempted to boot from disk drive and usb with no success just black screen. Can anyone assist?

Kind Regards
