i am running windows 7. after booting i pull up a command prompt and type bcdedit. i get the following error:
The boot configuration data store could not be opened. The requested system device cannot be found

i did open cmd prompt with admin rights. the strange thing is if i open easybcd i can see the bcd store settings. then if i go back to the command prompt and retype bcdedit it doesnt give me the error above.

any obvious reasons for this behavior?

no its not an easyBCD issue. i just thought it strange easyBCd was able to view store settings but me trying to access it with bcdedit command couldn't.
