:tongueout:oint: Hello all here.
I hav found in the Net this wonderfull EasyBCD 1.52 Version. I think, is it better as VistaBootPro from Pronetworks-Company. i can now easy light boot my eCS1.2R from the BCD.

I hav a Problem with my Xandros 4.0. I hav not set in Xandros the Bootmanager, that will write in the hda0 (my First Disk) a MBR. When i set this, will not start my BCD from Vista. I hav on my First HDD 3 Primary Partition and the 4.Primary Partition hav 7 logigal
Drives. The Xandros is on the HDD 0 zthe 10. logigal Drive.

My Question: We can i the Xandros OS add to the BCD-Easy 1.52 ?
I hav not installed a Grub or Lilo or another in Xandros. I not unterstand, what is the
"Neo Grub" ? can work this maby for my Option ?

See my Screenshots for my HDD and partitions.

Thank you for Infos...i waiting for answering.
Thank you all.

Hey Pinarek, welcome to NeoSmart Technologies!!

I'm glad you found EasyBCD to your liking - anyone that tries both VistaBootPRO and EasyBCD can easily see what's the real deal and what's the imitation.

You have two options for Xandros:

1) Use "install-grub" from a Linux Live CD or something to install GRUB to the *bootsector* (and not the MBR) of your Xandros partition, then delete all Linux entries in EasyBCD and re-create them.
2) Install NeoGrub instead of Linux in EasyBCD, then configure the NeoGrub bootloader (there's a big button in there) the same way you would configure a GRUB configuration file:

It'll look something like this.
Code:
# Which listing to boot as default. 0 is the first, 1 the second etc.
default 0
# How many seconds to wait before the default listing is booted.
timeout 30
# Nice, fat splash-image to spice things up :)
# Comment out if you don't have a graphics card installed
splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz

title=Gentoo Linux 2.6.5
# Partition where the kernel image (or operating system) is located
root (hd0,0)
kernel /kernel-2.6.5-gentoo
root=/dev/hda3

Hello Computer Curu...thank you for your Tipps.
Can you please spezifi for MY Harddisks please, you see my Screen attachment.
i not unterstand this:

# Which listing to boot as default. 0 is the first, 1 the second etc.
default 0
# How many seconds to wait before the default listing is booted.
timeout 30
# Nice, fat splash-image to spice things up :smile:
# Comment out if you don't have a graphics card installed
splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz

title=Gentoo Linux 2.6.5
# Partition where the kernel image (or operating system) is located
root (hd0,0)
kernel /kernel-2.6.5-gentoo
root=/dev/hda3

This is your Tipp for Option 2, ok i will test this. I not undertstant, what is my
Partition in my Harddisk 1, is Partition Number 10 for my Xandros-OS.
We must i write or change for MY ! specific Install ??
can you write me this please.
Excuseme my bad englih, i German People.

That's why I recommend that you stick to the normal way:

With your Xandros-OS DVD, boot into the "Recovery Mode" and run the program "grub-install":

Code:
grub-install /dev/hda10

Then in Windows, delete all Linux entries in EasyBCD then add a new one pointing to HD 1 Partition 10.

(unless, of course, you're on SATA or SCSI in which case it becomes sda10 in the code above.
