[INVALID] EasyBCD does not detect XP installation once more

Hello,

i have a dual boot system with win7 on c: and win xp on e: , both on the same harddisk. Until recently everything was fine but then tried some partition experiments with a tool and afterwards booting did not work anymore. I managed to repair win 7 now i can use it. When i now want to make a dualboot mbr with easybcd i get the error message "easybcd does not detect..." Other than in previous topics my winxp istallation is not in e:winxp file but in e:WINDOWS. I tried also the alternative bootgrabber.exe and betabuild but the problem remains.
I am deeply thankful for any help how to rebuild my dual boot configuration

Addendum:

Sorry, i found the error! i had renamed ntoskrnl.exe from xp into ntoskrnl.old, because it was allegedly corrupted after i used partition wizard and i wanted to install a new one, which didn't worked rigth and after that i forgot to rename the file again. Now easybcd found xp, and dual boot is working perfect again! Easybcd is really a great tool.

Thanks!

Everything *seems* fine. This is very odd.

What kind of "partition experiments" did you try, and with what tool?

Addendum:

well, there you go.

i was trying to expand my system partition, just to add free space i have on the hd. I used "partition wizard". Next reboot systempartition was still same size, but bootmanager corrupted.:frowning:
