I am on a laptop with 2 100gb drives with native sata support. I recently got fed up with not being able to play games on vista, so i installed mce on my second hdd. windows mce works fine but i cant get easybcd to work (im sure im just doing something wrong.)

heres what i want my bootloader to look like:

There are a total of 2 entries listed in the Vista Bootloader.
Bootloader TimeOut: 15 seconds.
Default OS: Windows XP

Entry #1

Name: Windows XP
BCD ID: {ntldr}
Drive: D:\
Bootloader Path: \ntldr
Windows Directory:

Entry #2

Name: Microsoft Windows Vista
BCD ID: {8c384823-6ff0-11db-8455-0016d303c84f}
Drive: C:\
Bootloader Path: \Windows\system32\winload.exe
Windows Directory: \Windows

Basically, I don't know what to do from here. I tryed looking at documentation, but it wont let me login. is it possible to set this up since i have to have native sata support disabled in the bios to boot mce?

Thanks, Cody.

Hey Cody, welcome to NeoSmart Technologies.

Currently, when you turn on your PC, do you go to XP/MCE or Windows Vista?

Well, are you in the *old* or the *new* bootloader?
If you can't tell the difference: Do you have a digital camera you can use to take a picture of the screen where you select the operating system you want?

n/m

Just do this: in EasyBCD in MCE -> Bootloader Management -> Reinstall Vista bootloader

Reboot

Should be in Vista now - or do you still have only MCE?

Great! this software works well. I guess i was thrown by the the "restore vista bootloader" or whatever it said. but anyway, it works great! thanks for the software!
