Making HD bootable with BCD

I have a odd problem. I have a 6+GB ISO (Win Server 16) that I want to install on a HD. It's too big for a DVD and the host machine won't boot from a USB drive with that ISO. I want to put the target HD in a slave system, install the OS via the USB drive to it. However, when I do that, Windows wants to update the real (c:smile: bootmgr. Can BCD install a bootmgr on this HD so I can then move it back to the other host machine and have it be bootable?

If the host PC is not UEFI, you should remove the active flag from the boot partition before starting your install. The install should then go to your target HDD (make that partition active first)
When the install is complete, remember to put the active flag back where it was (and leave the new HDD active too)
