Product Key Tool Info

Hello.
I just discovered NeoSmart's Product Key Tool.
I downloaded it and ran it and it said that my PC doesn't have one.
It is a valid purchased copy of Windows 7 Pro OEM.
What gives?

The description of the tool says:

Newer PCs and laptops shipping with Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 no longer come with a Certificate of Authenticity attached to the back or bottom of the PC. Instead, PC manufacturers have worked with Microsoft to embed the product key directly into the BIOS or EFI.

Maybe one of those conditions doesn't apply - such as no embedded key?

So the product key wasn't embedded, it was bought separately, therefore this tool wont work for it.
Try Belarc Advisor or something like that, should work better.
