Roxio NXT 4 install on Windows 10 Pro causes "Unrecognized Boot Device"

HP Pavilion dv7t-6100 CTO upgraded from Win 7 Ultimate to Win 10 Pro.
No signification issues since April 28 upgrade.
I dual boot with EasyBCD : Drive 1: Win 7 (bare minimum) Drive 2: Win 10 (free upgrade)

Install Roxio NXT 4 from DVD box (retail). Files dated mostly 9/15/2015 and setup downloads 5 or so patches.
Prior scrub/uninstall of Roxio NXT 2 using Revo 3.1.6 -- BTW: Revo 3.1.6 says it creates system restore points prior to uninstall of NXT 2 but on my HP this didn't happen (would be nice to know!)

NXT 4 appears to work until system is rebooted.
Then this... Others on Roxio / Corel forum report no solution using various boot repair options / tools.
Installing Nxt4 On Windows 10 Destroys Boot Path - Program Errors/Crashes/Hangs
Nxt4 Stopped My Win 10 X64 From Booting - Program Errors/Crashes/Hangs
My error message per above 0xc00000001 (on third attempted re-boot offers to recover Windows).

So I built a Windows 10 install USB stick but holding off on another attempt.
Repair install looks too serious for what I perceive to be a programming / left over crumb error.
I am still able boot into Win 7 (drive 1).
Re-imaging to prior good configurations takes me about 50 minutes (via Shadow Protect USB stick)

Same NXT install worked perfectly on my Dell Precision M6500 workstation laptop (also a Win 10 upgrade).
What is my best approach going forward?
