Internet Explorer Export Guide

Getting Started

So you want to export your Favorites from Internet Explorer (To be called IE from here on out) to save them for a emergency or a reinstall of Windows. This guide will show you how to quickly and simply do this.

The Process

Open IE. Now the process will vary depending on the setup you use. Some people like myself do not have the Menu Bar showing so every time you have to access the File Menu you must hit Alt + F to bring it up. For the rest the process will be easy as it is just a click on the word File. With that out of the way lets get going.

After IE is open Click File and then select Import and Export.

This will bring up the Import and Export Wizard that IE uses.

From here just click Next to get the next window up.

Here is where you select to Export your Favorites. It will bring up the Export Favorites Source Folder. This is where you can select to export just one of your folders or export all of your IE Favorites.

After you make your selection it will bring up the Export Favorites Destination.

Now click Browse and select a destination for the favorites to be saved.

After making your selection where to save click Save and the Completing the Import/Export Wizard Window will pop up. Click Finish to complete the process.

Finishing Up

Congratulations. You have successfully exported your IE Favorites for storage for future use.
