I’ve received many emails from people who cannot get it to run…<\/p>\n

For anyone still having trouble running GetHwIdDrivers.exe (from the official MS Beta for Vista) from the command prompt, and cannot even get the batch files to run, then you should use this exe. It’s a GUI that anyone should be able to use, no problem.<\/p>\n

  1. Put GetDrivers.exe in the same directory as GetHwIdDrivers.exe<\/li>\n
  2. Run it<\/li>\n
  3. Type a name to use for the xml file to be generated<\/li>\n
  4. Press OK<\/li>\n
  5. Your Done!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
