Dual Boot XP/8

Hi, I have a dual boot on 2 drives & want to get rid of drive 1.
Drive 1 : XP & boot files
Drive 2 : Win8
I understand that I can tell EasyBCD to change boot partition & drive. Then I must change boot drive order in the bios & then can get rid of drive 1. Now if for any reason it won't boot correctly after that, what can I do to restore it to it's previous configuration.

EasyBCD doesn't remove anything, just makes copies in the new location.
The system will continue to boot exactly as it did before if you point the BIOS back where it was previously.
