Sorry about the bump, basically this isn't the issue, what i mean is when i turn on my laptop, theres no display at all, the vista green bars don't appear, the curser doesn't and the "acer bios options" screen doesn't appear, sometimes it does, othertimes it doesn't, is there a solution???

If you have two drives, ie C:/ and D:/ just copy all your documents onto D:/ and then just install windows on the C:/ Drive, make sense?

I'd forgotten about this thread! Yeah I purchased 2x 2GB DDR2 RAM and installed it but surprisingly boot time is even longer!!! But once its booted up, everything is definitely a lot speedier when opening programs etc
