the 2 vistas boot ok BUT now I cannot get XP to boot . Should I run fixmbr from repair recovery console ??? If so will that leave the vista's bootable or what do i need to do ???

Hard drive dieing so... I want vista 32 bit and 64 bit , xp 64 bit , xp 32 sp2 AND ubuntu studio . I have 3 hard drives . What would be the right sequence to install the o/s 's and how would I set up Easy BCD and on what o/s thnx again richard

i was only able to complete sp1 installation on both my vista 62 and 32 by disconnecting my linux disc . now when i reconnected the linux the vista drives get stuck during boot up ... however they boot without problems once it is disconnected again ... how can i sort this out?

I have an always on broadband connection( wired ethernet) with a 'live box ' from orange . Now a linux o/s and xp and a wireless mac connect without any problems BUT vista takes ages to connect ... I boot up and after about 15 mins it will connect to the live box and its fine : has anyone else...

there is an example of how to configure neogrub in your neogrub help but I have tried the example and it doesnt work ... what should the entry be to configure to boot xp32 on the 1st hard drive and the 2nd partition on that drive and then linux on the 3rd hard drive on the first partition...

When it says in the trouble shooting guide there should only be one copy of "NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM, and BOOT.INI files on your system ' does that mean if u have xp pro and xp pro 64 that you should remove one set of those files and if so from which one ? Could this explain why I cannot boot...

I discovered that the reason that I could not find xp pro was because it was only half installed !!!! Before I found that out I reinstalled the linux system ( this was post vista as well , but before xp pro ) NOW should I use bcd on the last installed o/s ie xp pro ? ( if the answer is yes...

i am using the super grub disc to sort the linux boot out but when I get to the end of the instructions from bcd and enter "quit it" returns an Error 27 : unrecognized command ? Addendum: should read "quit" not 'quit it' !!
