    Lost Boot Directory?

Thanks Terry. Sorry for the delayed response but after doing a repair I had a new problem - The system booted OK when only this drive was connected. However with both drives connected, when I selected to boot to the repaired Win8 OS , I had a black screen error saying that Windows/system...

    Lost Boot Directory?

No Terry - it still displays the same screen. In fact I even tried removing the second drive and booting up from the original drive again - and still got this message.

    Lost Boot Directory?

I had a drive running Win 8 - 64bit. I wanted to upgrade to 8.1-64bit but with a clean install. As I also wanted a 32bit version for running a particular program I partitioned a 1TB drive in two and proceeded to install the two new OS. On completion installed EasyBCD on the new 64bit 8.1 drive...

    3gig switch

Thanks for the link. Just to check (not very experienced in this), would I be right in assuming that the PAE option can be used to access memory beyond 4GB? I only have 4GB on my system and what I want to do is access as much of the memory as I can - up to 4gb. How do I do this?

How do I edit the Boot info

Thanks Guru. So I change the config back to C: as Easybcd set it originally?? I already have the boot.ini on the E: drive which reads [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems]...

How do I edit the Boot info

I have Vista on one drive and XP on another. I have added an entry for XP and when I try to boot to Xp the system simply re-boots. This is what the boot config shows: There are a total of 2 entries listed in the Vista Bootloader. Bootloader TimeOut: 30 seconds. Default OS: Microsoft...
