Three entries instead of two

Hi there,

I initially was only running Windows 8.1.

Then I installed Windows 7 for compatibility reasons (in a VHD btw.). Windows 7 installation added a boot menu entry for Windows 7, so that after installation boot menu had the following two entries:

Windows 7 (set standard)
Windows 8.1

Next, I used EasyBCD in Windows 8.1 to edit boot menu to have to following entries:

Windows 8.1 (set standard)
Windows 7 VHD

When I check with BCDEdit I have these two entries.

BUT, when I reboot, I see three entries

Windows 8.1
Windows 8.1
(is selected)
Windows 7 VHD

Does anybody know what's the problem?
Thanks in advance, Daniel

Hey there ... I managed myself. I rebuilt BCD with BCDEdit and manually added an entry für Windows 8.1
Then I used EasyBCD to add an entry for Windows 7

For future reference, EasyBCD can reset the BCD itself (no need for command line bcdedit usage) and then you can re-add the entries from there.
