“No bootable device insert boot disc and press any key” windows 8 recovery usb

Hi I am trying to fix my HP ultrabook after the system restore loop error happened after leaving it on overnight. I have downloaded the Windows 8 restore to a usb which it said was a success I then needed to boot to this but after changing the boot settings to the us bi get the error message
“No bootable device insert boot disc and press any key”

Can someone offer any help please?
