Vista 32-bit / XP 64 bit Problem

Hi,

My laptop came preinstalled with Vista 32-bit Home Premium and I partitioned the hard disk and I installed XP Professional 64 bit in the second drive. Not I installed the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x64).

When i open EasyBCD I get the Error No Valid Entries Found.


After I install EasyBCD 1.7.2 I get an weird error when I try to add a partition.

Even if I click continue nothing happens. First I was doing the mistake without installing .Net 2.0 but I am having problems for few days. Some Help would really be great.

If you're having problems getting EasyBCD to work on XP, you can always boot your Vista DVD and select "repair". Then when Vista fixes the bootloader itself, you can run EasyBCD inside Vista to tidy up your dual boot.

You say that you first tried to run EasyBCD before realizing it needed NET 2.0. Have you tried uninstall/reinstall since adding NET 2.0 ?

Hi,

Yeah I installed NET 2.0 then uninstalled EASYBCD in Windows XP. I recovered to boot into Vista with my recovery disk. I will try to install EasyBCD in Vista and try to dual boot and post my response. Thank You for your Support.
