Windows startup error 0xc000000f

Hi, My laptop is telling me to instert the windows installation disk, and click repair my your computer. I didnt have that disk so i downloaded the neosmart windows vista recovery disk. But when i put it in the drive and go on adavanced boot options every option i select it just comes up with the error message again, i dont know what im doing wrong.

Help would be much appreciated

Are you booting from the disk? You may need to set your BIOS to boot from CD/DVD first.

okay ive changed that, now it boots off disk. when i click on repair it says "this version of system recovery options is not compatible with the version of windows" what can i do now?

If you downloaded the 32-bit (x86) edition, download the 64-bit (x64) edition instead. Or vice versa.

Is it Windows XP that you are trying to install?
