OSX EFI Config Help

I have successfully gotten OSX working on my PC and set up Chameleon in the EFI partition. If I force the system to boot from my OSX drive everything works great!

Now what I want to do is get EasyBCD set up on my ma/Windows drive so that I can just use the windows OS select screen tho choose which I want, but I'm running into some problems. I set everything up in EasyBCD, it was pretty simple and it almost works. I get to a chameleon screen fine (It seems EasyBCD uses it's own copy of chameleon, since this one has a different theme than if I boot directly to the OSX drive) however I get a KP (something about CPU7 not being assigned an HPET). A little research told me this should be able to be fixed with a dsdt patch or some additional kexts.

I did some poking around and found the nst_mac.iso in my C:\NST folder. Inside seems to be where EasyBCD is storing it's Chameleon files, kexts, etc. I've tried basically replacing the Extra folder in there with the Extra folder from my OSX drive's EFI partition but so far no dice.

Am I on the right track with editing the nst_mac.iso? I didn't mess with the \usr\standalone\i386 part of the iso, maybe I need to do that too?

Alternately is there a way to get EasyBCD to just use my existing chameleon install on my OSX EFI partition?

If none of these will work does anyone have suggestions for an any other elegant solution to picking my OS on boot? If I have to stick to the F12->pick a drive method I can deal with it, but it's not ideal.

I have a 2 drive setup. Drive 1 is my default boot drive and has just a standard windows 7 install on it. Drive 2 is my OSX drive it's got 2 partitions the first being the EFI partition with the bootloader installed, the second takes the rest of the drive and has OSX on it.

Here is my EasyBCD 2 config:

Thanks in advance!

We've been looking for a way to let users customize the copy of Chameleon, so it hasn't been easy. Let me look into this some more and get back to you.

Awesome! I was able to kind of get what I want set up in my EFI Chameleon installation but there's a couple of things that are still less than ideal. I'll keep tabs here for any updates. Keep up the great work!

All I need is to get chameleon RC5 700+...

...into EasyBCD and literally months of messing around with sleep problems, boot problems to make the sleep functional and so on are over.

The only solution for my board, hardware, etc. with full sleep functionality, etc. is to have an MBR bootloader such as EasyBCD or unnecessary packing of extra OS's and partitions onto one disk to make it work. Pls figure a way to update this inner package of Chameleon RC4. It is ancient history in the hackintosh world. Tonymac was the last holdout for RC4 install and even they have gone to RC5, 700 and above all versions. (maybe 699 on one)

Help us, OWKenobi

Thanks in advance,

R
