Hi, this is my first post here. I woke up one morning and my HP Compaq Presario was off. We have had some recent outages as they are doing construction where I leave, and also we had a winter storm. I am thinking after reading at this site that it could be a Vista problem. I am running Vista Home Premium. I have made the Recovery Disks and also a Diagnostic disk. The pc wouldn't boot. Can it be a bootable problem that might be solved without opening the case by downloading that Vista boot DVD, and then use the recovery disks, or what advise might you have here for me?

If the machine powers on how far is it getting? You don't need to open the case (hopefully) to use our recovery disc. Follow these instructions after you've burned a copy.
