Easy BCD for Linux?

Hi,

This is rather a minor problem but still...

I couldn't find a linux based download for Easy BCD(maybe I overlooked it).

From a great program to easily switch between the starting OS, I would expect
a version for the OS wich is switched to the most.

Like I said, it's a minor problem but I was surprised not finding a Linux version.

That said, Easy BCD is a good and very useful program.

Greetings from Belgium and Happy Holidays!!

You wont find one, as its name suggests, it's Windows software. You can however add a Linux partition to it in a multi-boot scenario.

Thanks for clearing that up.
I was just wondering....

I effectively have a dual boot with Linux on a HDD and for Windows I have an SSD for Windows itself
and software, and another one for data.

Merry Christmas to you too and greetings from Belgium!!

Hi Ex_Brit, any chance for a fully fledged Linux version any time soon? Or ever?

There are no plans to port EasyBCD to run under Linux natively. Due to the binary nature of the BCD bootloader and its Windows-specific nature, it's guaranteed that any EasyBCD users will have Windows installed on their device; at best porting EasyBCD to Linux would only enable Linux users to run EasyBCD without rebooting into Windows, a minor hassle compared to the trouble getting it working.
