Gateway recovery

I have a Gateway ZX4971. It was hacked successfully and was a mess. The only recommended method to clean it up was to wipe the disk drive and restore the Win 7 OS. First I created four dvd recovery disks using the utility on the system. Then I scrubbed the drive and set about to recover. Read in all four disks and started the process. Restoration was soon halted with the message winload.exe (32) is corrupt. Please get a disk from your system administrator et al. Well l dont have such a person or disk. I tried using a generic win7 system disk and invoked system repair. It soon stopped indicating it couldnt fix it. So I tried using the generic win 7 disk alone and all went find until the product key. Since the key is Gateway unique it doesnt work on generic win 7 disks. Now what do I do?
