Hi , im new on here so go easy on me :smile: , i recently reinstalled windows xp and now have no sound , keep getting a msg saying no sound device found/ installed , ive downloaded driver,s from dell and IDT with no joy , any ideas , my laptop is a dell inspiron 9400 , running winows xp sp3 , bios version AO9 . cheers and thanks in advance

Hi beecee, welcome to NST.

From support.dell.com you got these drivers? You might need the chipset driver installed as well. You well need to reboot the computer after installing the drivers. After they have been installed open sound and audio devices in control panel where you will need to configure your sound device.
