My computer has an unusual set up - it boots from the D: drive but Windows is on the C: drive

PC is Windows 7, 64bit. Disc Manager output appended. The C: drive has no boot partition.

Can I use the 'Change Boot Partition' procedure on pp 18-19 of the manual to make the C: drive the boot drive? Or will Windows already being on the drive confuse things?

It will work fine.
Remember to change your BIOS boot order, otherwise it will continue to boot from the D copy even though you've got one on C.
When you've finally rebooted into C via the C/boot, you'll see C is marked system, boot and active, at which point you'll be free to do anything you want to D without affecting your OS.
