You can export it manually by simply copying the BCD file yourself, if you like.
Or you can open the registry editor, right-click the HKLM\BCD00000000 key, and export that.

Oh - is this under XP? I think I've seen that error when calling bcdedit from an older OS.

Hi,
I'm trying to do this export under Win 7 Ultimate. I know that I can copy it, but I'm very concern as to why I'm getting "handle is invalided" message. Is it a file access error? Since I'm not getting Win7 error msg identifying a read/write problem, so it can't be that. Is it a file attribute issue? Or is it a BCDedit error message?

It's a bcdedit error message that we are reporting back to you.
bcdedit gets confused about where the BCD file is located sometimes. I've honestly only seen that error under XP, but with Microsoft, anything is possible
