using easyBCD with Windows 10 as first OS and XP as 2nd

Hi, I am trying to use easyBCD to dual-boot windows 10 and XP, I installed Windows 10 and easyBCD on one drive, and XP on the other. However after installing easyBCD and replacing the boot loader, I was unable to make a new object in the menu as it could not modify a registry key (or something similar). I rebooted the machine and found it would not boot, yes it used the newer BCD but it would say "inaccessible boot device", was following the guide in "install windows XP as second OS". Is there something else I need to do or another guide I need to follow? also, do both OS's need to be on one drive?

sorry, here's exactly what the error message says. "An error occurred while attempting the specified create operation. System could not allocate the required space in a registry log."

I do recall many years ago seeing a similar problem but can't remember the details of the resolution now.
iirc it's not an EasyBCD problem but as the message suggests, a system space problem.
Have you tried searching the forum using that message ?
It's probably 5-10 years back.
