Followed all the instructions there right?
If you set it for the /boot partition then you need to know exactly which partition that is in accordance to Windows. As what Windows recognizes as the /boot partition might not be the same thing that Ubuntu seen it as and your pointing EasyBCD to the wrong partition.
Did you make each partition a different size or did you make them the same size or close?
I would try pointing EasyBCD to a different partition and see if that helps.
