yesterday my computer running vista accidentally ended in a perpetual never ending loop of completing updates 3 of 3, and never progresses past that yet restarts over and over again. i do not have the recovery or original cd, and im running a toshiba satellite a215. i downloaded a copy of windows recovery essentials. i go to click on a previous restore point, and it opens a window saying progress, mounting partition and preparing for system restore procedure..... restoring data..... then it stops there, its been like this for a hour now. there is no progress bar to tell me that its doing anything. how long should a 160gig harddrive take to restore back to a previous point? i dont know if its still working and i should leave it run or if the program has frozen
