Windows XP dual boot

Hello:
I'm a brand-spanking newbie to EasyBCD, and I hope a question about Windows XP doesn't get me kicked out of the faternity!!
Anyway, I have and older PC wiith Windows XP sp3 that I use just for old games. I'd like to try to create a dual-boot of Windows XP, same two versions, one on the C-Drive, and the other on the D-Drive.

I get an error message that says that EasyBCD can't find the boot-data because I'm using XP and not Win7 or higher on this PC, and it asked me if I wanted to manually link EasyBCD to the BCD registry loader.

I don't want to scramble my boot drive, so, is this OK to do...link EasyBCD to the BCD-loader in Windows XP?? Please advise.

XP doesn't have a BCD so there's nothing for EasyBCD to work with.
It will only boot XP as part of a multiboot which includes one of the Longhorn family (Vista -> W10)
XP has its own legacy boot manager/loader (NTLDR) which uses the text file "boot.ini" to perform the function which the BCD replaced in subsequent versions of Windows.
You can dual boot multiple XPs by adding entries to the boot.ini file with any text editor.
