XP os does boots and goes back to windows 7

I have followed all the instructions and now have my 2 os to select from but the issue now is that when I select windows xp. It will start booting but will on the process of booting go back to windows 7. Pls can anybody tell me what is wrong and how I can handle it.

pls urgent reply needed.
