This guide shows you how to clear the cache for the following Internet Explorer versions: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. It also shows how to clear cache in Microsoft Edge, which is a newer version of Internet Explorer supplied with Windows 10.

If you're not sure which Internet Explorer version you're running, follow these steps for a faster route to open Internet Options to clear the cache:

<h2>Clear Cache In Internet Explorer 6</h2>
To clear the cache in Internet Explorer 6, follow these steps:

 	<li>Right-click on the Internet Explorer 6 and select Internet Properties.Or, you can open Internet Explorer 6 and from the Tools menu and click Internet Options.</li>
 	<li>The Internet Properties window will appear</li>
 	<li>At the General tab, under the Temporary Internet files section, click Delete Files, select Delete all offline content, then click OK</li>

To clear the cache in Internet Explorer 7, follow these steps:

 	<li>Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon from your Desktop</li>
 	<li>Select Internet Properties
Or, if you already have Internet Explorer 7 open, go to the Tools menu and click Internet Options.</li>

To open the Delete Browsing history menu directly, you can press this combination of keys: <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>Del</kbd>. You need to have Internet Explorer 10 open when doing the combination of keys.
