If you&#8217;re not able to do so, go to <a href=\"#Cannot_log_in_No_other_user_account_available\">Cannot log in \/ No other user account available<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Open the Registry Editor and navigate to this key:\n<pre>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion\\ProfileList<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Find the <strong>S-1<\/strong> folder with <code>.bak<\/code> extension under the <em>ProfileList<\/em> folder, on the left pane<\/li>\n<li>At the <strong>ProfileImagePath<\/strong> value, on the right pane, find if the path is correct: <code>C:\\Users\\MY_USERNAME<\/code><\/li>\n<li>Go to the <code>C:\\Users<\/code> folder and check that the folder name of the corrupted username is the same as the one in the ProfileImagePath: <code>MY_USERNAME<\/code>. If it&#8217;s not, rename it.<\/li>\n<li>Go back to the Registry Editor and check if the folder name with the <code>.bak<\/code> extension has a duplicate folder, with the same name but without the <code>.bak<\/code> extension. Example:\n<pre>S-1-5-23232 S-1-5-23232.bak<\/pre>\n<p><strong>If you have 2 folders with the same name (1 without .bak, 1 with .bak)<\/strong>, follow these instructions: Rename the folder with <code>.bak<\/code> extension to be without <code>.bak<\/code> and vice versa: the without <code>.bak<\/code> folder to have <code>.bak<\/code> afterwards.
