XP SP3 Build 3180 Leaked Online!
So like everything else done by M$ the latest build of XP SP's has leaked.  So if you are interested check your favorite torrent sites. I can honestly say 2 things. 1.) Eset Smart SEcurity doesnt work with it. 2.) I have noticed nothing since installing it.

Switched to Kaspersky, version 6 wasn't that great, but 7 is nice and light, and it works great with Vista. (btw, like the new sig!) Wish Vista SP1 would hurry up and leak already though.

CG Yeah i went back to my old setup of Avast and Zone Alarm. It works well. I just think Security Suites ahve a issue with SP3 cause it is SP3. Basically they are made for sP2. I have not had a issue with NOD or Avast so i stick with them for now. But yeah i know what you mean about the Vista SP1. I have gotten almost all of the rumored KB articles that are supposed to be in it. Have to finish installing all 70 or so of them.  Thanks on the compliment on the new Sig. Was only about 5 minutes worth of work.

I'd really like to make an automated installer to grab and install each and every available hotfix (from somewhere like thehotfixshare), especially because it takes so long to install each one. However, I really don't have any time to do anything of that sort

I beta tested SP2 but am not going to bother with this one until it's final. It isn't going to be much anyway according to what I've read.

Well, I'd say it depends on how you're looking at it. If you're comparing it to a fully-updated system, I'm sure it's not that big of a deal; but what about when you compare it to a stock/vanilla SP2 install?

True. How many updates have I installed since SP2...I hazard a guess at around 90?

I'm very happy with my XP SP1, no thank you. I'm behind the corporate firewall, I'm not using any AV  .The only thing I update is Firefox.

 Honestly there was some updates installed that were not available thru Windows Update. There was a update to IE7, WMP and OE that have not been in the update section. There was also several others that i dont recall. If i remember correctly from the WinBeta site there was something like 25% of the SP3 Beta that wasnt available as of yet. In all honesty it isnt that big a deal But i just like trying out all the new stuff. That is why i installed it. Plus to see if i can crash XP now. I ahve not done that in quite some time.

You are most likely right. I always use the Custom search when I go to MSFT Updates so get updates for Office/Works etc. etc.

Well I'll forgive you then, but it's one of my real beefs. So often I see people blaming everything but themselves for a PC breakdown and then it turns out that they are only using XP SP1, worse XP Gold, even worse 98 or ME....aaargh...LOL
