I’m sold! I disabled too many services on my msconfig boot.ini. That kept the computer from booting up. I invested the $20 into the Vista Recovery Disk and we’re back. YES!!!!!!! One thing you will need is a older wired keyboard and mouse (the round 6 pin). When the Recovery disk is working, the rest of the computer is shut down, ie, USB ports for wireless keyboard/mouse. I am soooooo happy. I was about ready to purchase a new hard drive and step up to Windows 7 (which wouldn’t have been all that bad). I recommend this product!!!!!

I thought I write a brief review on this since I was skeptical at first but it fixed my issues and I had to do it justice.

My computer was hit with a MBR issue after using a cleanup program which messed it up.

1. 0x00000f BCD error (black Screen)
2. Windows recovery failed to work (incompatible version ?!?)
3. Diskpart could not set the drive to active in command prompt
4. BCD Rebuild failed to work as drive was locked out

I was pretty much out of options and I came across this software, so I thought I try it out since the last option was re install which I would hate.

And truly enough 10 mins of running the software the automatic repair fixed whatever issue and the computer booted as per normal.

So if your at your wits end, give this a shot. It worked for me and I hope it will for you.

Exceptional product. My son's xp system had a bootmgr compressed and would not boot up. Worked on it for a week with no success until I found this tool. From download to burn to full repair less than 15 minutes. Everything on his computer was was intact. All I can say is WOW !!!!

While my issue ended up being my hard drive, I was able to go in easily and retrieve my most important files with this software - something that would have cost me $100 with any other company. Thanks for a good product!

Easy Recovery Essentials worked to fix my Windows 7 that refused to load. After four frustrating days of trying everything I could think of, EasyRE saved the day. The download and installation went smoothly. The instructions were clear and complete.

Strangely, it was “Restore to a Previous Point” that solved the problem. Strangely, because the date of the “previous point” was two days after Windows 7 first stopped loading. But I’m not complaining.

Have a Dell Windows 7 PC that got the Alureon virus. Followed Microsoft's instructions and downloaded Windows Defender Offline to remove the virus. It removed the virus, but I was then unable to boot! Found a number of posts where people had the same issue (Thank you Microsoft ...) Wasted many hours, tried various fixes and nothing worked. Finally found your website and decided to buy and try. I think it was under 15 minutes from the time I entered the credit card, burned the iso, booted your disk, ran the automated repair, and booted back into Windows! Very nice job! It certainly worked for me!

I just purchased and used the windows 7 repair download. I was at a point I couldn't get past the black boot up screen. I only had two options, run windows normally or start up repair. Neither option worked for me. I tried system restore, image restore, emergency back up from Dell, and every other option I could find, all taking me back to same screen. When I came across this “repair” I was quite skeptical. I am a novice at computer repair but am good at researching and following directions. I downloaded the repair and followed the simple directions emailed to me, which also included a link to install a burner to complete the download to a readable disc. In literally less than 30 minutes I was up and running again. The instructions were very clear and easy. I am a happy camper.

After clicking the compress files option on disk clean-up (BIG mistake) I could not boot back up. I tried everything to no avail. I downloaded the ISO per the instructions on your website, and in less than five minutes, all is well. I can't tell you how much average people like me appreciate your product.
